“ Love this itlalian tratoria , the staff were very accomodating,friendly and were always available to top up our drinking water. As its a school holidays,this place is packed on a Monday dinner service. For anyone who would like to try Matteo , Recommemd to book as it can be filled quickly and you want to spend a satisfying dinner with hungry kids. ”

Everything was absolutely amazing, our server was a lovely lady in a white and black top and she was absolutely outstanding made our experience so great, the pizzas were also cooked to perfection and the cocktails were good too would definitely come back to this place. “ We had a great experience at Matteo Downtown. The food was great and the ambiance was good. Initially thought is was a little load, but we were seated outside and it was perfect. All the food was perfectly cooked. I had the pesto with tuna and it was amazing. The pizza was very good as well. If there was anything negative as it was a little expensive for pizza and pasta, well over $100 pp, but we had a few drinks in there. Don't worry about outside seating as it is 100% undercover and protected from the elements. ”

The interior also looked stunning—stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, even though we were seated in the main dining area, the service was a bit slow. It took quite a while for someone to take our order, and we had to wait a long time again to get the check. Given the otherwise lovely experience, I would’ve expected a bit more attentiveness from the service team. That being said, the food was absolutely delicious and made up for the wait. Every dish we tried was fresh and flavorful, but the real standout was the pistachio cheesecake—seriously, it’s a must-try! It was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a great spot with amazing food and beautiful vibes—just a little room for improvement on the service side. ”
“ Went to Matteo’s Downtown for dinner a week ago. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was good, but one of the pizzas came out a bit undercooked. The waitress never came back to check on us, so we just let it go—but that’s something that could definitely be improved. Service overall wasn’t great. Our table felt forgotten even though the section wasn’t busy. At one point, when we called the waitress to order another drink, she brought us the check instead—even though we still wanted to stay. Overall, it was a decent experience, but the service and food execution could be better to match the vibe of the place. ”
